EMP Protected Ethernet EMI Filters

The ACTIV 10G-EMP™ EMI Filter is the only 100dB EMI filter that is protected against an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). Regardless of whether the EMP is a lightning EMP (LEMP), nuclear EMP (NEMP), high altitude EMP (HEMP), or non-nuclear EMP (NNEMP), the filter will protect connected devices against 5000 amps in a 20x500 nanosecond pulse (designated as E1 in Mil-Std-188-125) or up to 50 amps in a 1.5x3000 microsecond pulse (designated as E2 in Mil-Std-188-125). The convenient filter package and RJ45 input/RJ45 output design make the ACTIV 10G-EMP™ the simplest method to upgrade your enclosures to an EMP protected enclosures.

As a member of the DJM Electronics ACTIV™ brand Ethernet filters, the ACTIV EMP™ utilizes proprietary technology that provides 100dB performance from 10kHz to 18GHz and higher. Based on digital signal processing technologies, our ACTIV™ EMI filters faithfully reproduce Ethernet signals without electromagnetic interference.

We guarantee that ACTIV™ Ethernet Filters will not interfere with your network, increase hop counts or degrade network performance - a common problem with standard signal line filters.

Surge Suppression Performance

EMP Surge Suppression

E1 5kA 20/500 ns
E2 50A 1.5/3000 µs
