10G HW Kit

Hardwired DC power conversion for the ACTIV 10G

The ACTIV 10G HW Kit converts the ACTIV 10G Ethernet EMI filter to a hardwired DC power connection for locations where an AC outlet is unavailable, prohibited by electrical code, or otherwise unacceptable. The most common application is MRI suites, where code prohibits outlets above drop ceilings in the magnet room. The kit is also used in SCIFs and other shielded enclosure installations where outlet placement is constrained by facility design or security requirements. The kit includes an American Lighting LED-DRJ-30-12 cULus Listed, Class 2, 12 VDC power supply. The supply is separately Listed and is not part of the ACTIV 10G filter's UL Listing.

Kit Overview What's in the Kit

Everything Needed
for a Hardwired Installation.

The HW Kit includes an American Lighting LED-DRJ-30-12 cULus Listed, Class 2, 12 VDC power supply; a shielded plenum-rated DC cordset with right-angle barrel connector; WAGO 221 lever connectors; a snap-in strain relief connector and cable bushing; and an instruction sheet with complete installation steps. The LED-DRJ-30-12 can power up to two ACTIV 10G filters.

All kit components — the power supply and its junction box, the DC cordset, and the ACTIV 10G filter itself — install outside the shielded enclosure or magnet room. AC supply conductors land in the junction box via the snap-in strain relief connector. DC exits through the included cable bushing to the ACTIV 10G's barrel jack. All connections are made with the included WAGO 221 lever connectors.

The included LED-DRJ-30-12 is cULus Listed, Class 2, 12 VDC. It is separately Listed and not part of the ACTIV 10G filter's UL Listing (File E362686).

MRI Suite Ready

All kit components — power supply, junction box, DC cordset, and the ACTIV 10G filter — install outside the magnet room. Any Ethernet cable or hardware that enters the magnet room must be non-ferrous.

Plenum-Rated Cordset

CMP/CL2P-rated 18 AWG shielded cordset with right-angle barrel connector. Suitable for above-ceiling plenum spaces without conduit in most jurisdictions.

WAGO 221 Lever Connectors

Tool-free, push-lever termination for the DC supply connections. No wire nuts. Reusable, cage-clamp design holds stranded and solid conductors without tools.

UL Certified Construction

UL Certified under File E362686. Cordset drain wire is a solder-tipped bare braid for reliable shield continuity. Snap-in strain relief connector provides code-compliant cable entry to the junction box.
